I used to scoff at someone if they post anything about the partner gives to them on social media.
The only reason was because I thought that was really nothing to show nor brag.
But guess what, the younger me would've looked at me (not in a good way) if she sees the post today.
🍪 and I went to a bookstore near my place last two days. You know what, the thing of dating a nerd (in a good way I mean, which I have been praying for years) is you will have endless conversations about books, authors, publications and book signing events.
While we were hanging out in the bookstore, I saw a book which I was quite interested in, sat there for awhile to leaf through but finally decided to put it back 'cause I could spend my money in a better place HAHA.
But I have been thinking about it since then. I told 🍪 this morning that I am still thinking about that book and I think it's calling me.
Evening just now, he called to come down before he headed to gathering with his friends. When I saw him, he was carrying a paper bag (which I thought was bread) and a cup of hot chocolate (menstrual D-3).
Opened it, TA-DA! It's that book!
You know the best part of the whole thing is, I actually just briefly mentioned about it in the bookstore, and this morning I just said: I am still thinking about that book. (I didn't even mention which one) And he got it for me already! 🥹
Call me whatever-you-want but dude. He's a keeper. I have been sorting out my own insecurities and which one I need to voice out to keep the relationship works.
And as I always tell him: 🍪 You're such a gem. We are both equally lucky to find each other.
